Help Me Represent Our Jewish Pride and Passion at the Maccabiah Games! Hey everyone, Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in! My love for Israel and rugby runs deep, and when these two come together, magic happens—gold happens. The Maccabiah Games aren't just about sports; they're about connecting with Israel, celebrating Jewish identity, and standing proud as a people. This year, my teammates and I are coming back stronger, with vengeance and determination. Last time, we didn't achieve what we wanted on the field, but this time we're aiming higher. The Maccabiah is more than a tournament; it's a powerful statement of who we are, where we've come from, and what we stand for. As many of you know, my birthday is October 7th. This past year has been challenging—not just for me but for Jews around the world. It's been a year of confronting ignorance, facing prejudice, and reminding myself of the strength, courage, and resilience that comes with our Jewish heritage. My family escaped pogroms in Russia and Lithuania and survived the camps of Germany. Their legacy lives on in me and in everything I do. This tournament is my chance to honor them and to show the world that the Jewish spirit remains unbreakable. To me, Maccabiah Rugby is more than just a sport—it's a brotherhood. My teammates are fighters, warriors, mensches, leaders, and a little meshugana (in the best way). Every single tour reminds us of our responsibility to lead by example and pave the way for the next generation of Jewish athletes. With the events of this past year, including those since October 7th, there have been many lows for Jews worldwide. This tournament is our way of telling the world: Never Again. We are strong, proud, and here to stay. I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to represent not only America but also the Jewish community as a proud Jewish American. But I need your help to make it happen. Your support—whether it's $5, $50, or simply sharing this message—will help fund my journey to the Maccabiah Games, where I'll represent our community and our unshakable pride. Together, let's show the world what it means to be Jewish, resilient, and united. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jared
